About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker in Bournemouth, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering personalized care packages tailored to the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:
- Working flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with our young people.
- Promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being.
- Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
- Collaborating effectively with your team and accepting guidance.
What We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also possess a genuine passion for supporting young people. Here’s what you need:
- Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins (09:00 AM - 09:30 AM the following day).
- A willingness to learn and grow, with excellent communication and listening skills.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel purposes.
- Qualifications such as a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a commitment to obtain these).
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary:
- Unqualified Salary: £33,349.58 (including sleep-in shifts)
- Qualified Salary (Level 3/4): Up to £35,935.36 (including sleep-in shifts)
