Seniority Level: Associate

That’s Who We Are: Come and OWN IT. About draftLine: draftLine is our award-winning in-house agency. Creatives, strategists, producers, and marketers gathered from all over Europe revolutionising the way we do marketing in our company. We believe that brands that ignore people get ignored; our mission is to build brands with people at the heart. We collaborate with every discipline within ABI, as well as external partners, to deliver communication plans that connect and drive growth for our brands. Based out of our central London office, with its own production studio and rooftop bar, we work hand in hand with global and local marketing teams to develop top-notch creative work.

The Role: draftLine is looking for an Art Director to work on the biggest beer brands in the world such as Budweiser, Corona, Stella Artois, etc. Reporting into the Creative Director, you will help raise the bar across our in-house agency portfolio of beer brands. You’ll bring strong conceptual thinking and craft, with a deep understanding of social-first creative and what makes work resonate in culture. While you may touch activations and experiential occasionally, the core of the role is big, platform-smart ideas and beautifully executed work across ATL, social, digital, film and photography.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept and art direct across social, digital, film, photography, OOH, print and design.
  • Bring beer and the alcohol category to life in a responsible but exciting way, balancing brand storytelling with commercial outcomes.
  • Be confident art directing product shoots with a strong eye for detail: styling, composition, pack, label, liquid and the “final 5%”.
  • Create social-first ideas that feel native to each platform, understanding formats, creators, trends and what drives engagement.
  • Build visually compelling decks and sell work clearly, bringing ideas to life in Google Slides/Docs.
  • Collaborate with Creatives, Designers, Copywriters and Producers to push the thinking and protect the craft.
  • Stay on top of social, cultural, design and emerging tech trends, translating them into relevant, brand-right work.
  • Be open to working in a creative team/partnership if the opportunity arises.

Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering creative work to a high standard from concept through execution, comfortable partnering with stakeholders and production, and iterating quickly while maintaining craft. Experience in FMCG is ideal; alcohol category experience is a bonus.
  • Experience creating communications across multiple channels, with clear strength in social-first creative.
  • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and high craft (social/digital essential, film/photography strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Curiosity about culture and the latest trends, with strong judgement on what’s relevant.
  • Start-up mindset with a can-do attitude, not afraid to make the role your own.
  • Portfolio requirement: candidates without portfolios will not be considered.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and a strong craft/visual skillset.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem solving.
  • Organisation and the ability to manage multiple jobs at pace.
  • Resilience and calm under pressure.
  • Collaborative, proactive team working.

Benefits:

  • 18-month fixed-term contract with the possibility to extend based on performance and business needs.
  • Benefits for you and your family to help your physical and mental health.
  • Competitive parental leave and pension double contributions.
  • 25 days holidays per year.
