The Role
This is an entry-level position. No sales experience is required, but a deep passion for our brands and a desire to work with people are preferred. This exciting role involves working alongside Regional Wholesalers and our Pub Company Partners, focusing on account management to maximize existing relationships, whilst also putting significant focus on winning and developing new accounts.
A strong candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder. Selling, supporting, monitoring, and retaining our premium ABI brands within partner wholesale supplied outlets & Pub Companies is key, along with commercial acumen and delivery of KPI results, whilst embracing our ten key principles.
This role is a field-based role covering Newcastle & surrounding area (Postcode areas DL, TS, DH, SR, CA and NE), so a current UK Driving License is required. We can only accept applications currently located in the above postcodes.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for growing distribution, volume, profitability, and brand experience within a portfolio of On-Trade accounts
- Autonomy to own aligned territory with the opportunity to leave a legacy by growing share, volume, and commercial results.
- Retain & Grow AB InBev share/sales within aligned Regional Wholesale Partners.
- Retain & Grow AB InBev share/ sales within aligned Pub Companies.
- Develop a deep knowledge base related to brewing process, beer types and styles, handling, tasting, and serving in order to develop our brands, and enhance consumer and customer experience on-premises
- Ownership of annual individual customer planning, promotional evaluation, and customer sell-back.
- Territory spend and budget management
- Build strong business relationships with Regional Sales Managers, key customers, and consumer groups
- Execution of call cycle and administrative duties (routine management)
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of products within the category
- Build and evolve a comprehensive network with other sales professionals in the wider AB InBev business
Who We’re Looking For / Qualifications
- Passion for Beer and Food Industry – experience in the hospitality industry (eg, bar work, waiter/waitress experience) is preferred
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment, focused, Analytical skills with strong business acumen
- Excellent relationship-building and follow-up skills
- Very enthusiastic & motivated to make a difference
- Driven, ambitious, and resilient
- Computer proficiency and aptitude, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexible with irregular working hours to be present during key period on premise (including some evenings and weekends)
