We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills, create delicious dishes, and contribute to a high-quality dining experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.

Duties

  • Prepare a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Cook meals efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or expiry dates
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service during service hours
  • Serve food to customers in a professional and courteous manner when required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
  • Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in meal preparation, serving, or culinary roles is advantageous
  • A recognised culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential
