As a Data Analyst you will be fundamental to the business, squeezing as much insight, analysis and intelligence from the varied data we have available. Your findings will not only be vital in how we develop our models & products, how we engage our users and deliver technology that can provide a maximum benefit to the everyday person, but also be crucial in driving forward business decisions.
Data at Bud: The data team is tasked with solving highly analytical problems to enable solutions that tangibly benefit the lives of millions of people. From what data we need to collect to solve problems, to working with that data to glean insights and guide our decision making, the analyst is a key resource at Bud that is highly valued. Data is key to our business and we need passionate analysts to help research and analyse data to push us forward.
What impact you will make:
- Work with data scientists to design, evaluate & monitor the performance of our models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and backend developers to solve client and user problems.
- Work with data engineers to make sure that the right data is collected.
- Help us understand our customers better so we can provide the right solutions to the right people.
- Be responsible for end-to-end analysis of data, from data cleaning to extracting insights.
- Responsible for the process of demonstrating value to prospective clients - expanding upon the tools and techniques Bud has already developed.
- Design and develop novel ways to showcase and highlight key analysis from complex data sets.
- Help drive forward both product & business strategy through your findings.
A bit about you:
- 5+ years of experience working as a data analyst.
- Strong analytical skills, a great focus, with an attention to detail.
- Strong Python (especially Pandas) & SQL skills are essential.
- A good understanding of statistical methods.
- Experience using visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, Superset, etc.
- At least a basic understanding of machine learning and a keen interest to learn more.
- A good grounding in data ethics.
- Experience presenting analysis and insights to audiences from varying skill sets and backgrounds.
- A great work ethic and a thirst for knowledge.
Taking it to the next level:
- Basic understanding of machine learning and a keen interest to learn.
- Fluency in statistics.
- A good understanding of Computer Science concepts.
- Domain knowledge / experience in the Financial Services industry or experience at another Fintech company.
