An exciting opportunity to join our busy Residential Conveyancing team in Ashford, competitive salary offered, based on individual experience.

Purpose

To support and assist fee earners with secretarial duties and work as a team with our existing secretaries when required.

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced candidate that will thrive in a fast paced environment, whilst still maintaining excellent due diligence and the expected standard of the Firm. We are a small department and work closely with one another so you must be happy to form part of a team and communicate well with colleagues.

The hours required to fulfil the role will be Full-Time Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. The role will include the following:

  • Opening and closing files;
  • Polite and friendly telephone manner;
  • Audio dictation;
  • Fast and accurate typing skills;
  • Diary management and arranging appointments;
  • To provide updates to clients/third parties by email and telephone;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • Good self-management of time is essential and the ability to prioritise;
  • Using a computerised case management system;
  • Handle all confidential information discreetly and in-line with GDPR/AML regulations;
  • Undertake general administrative duties, such as scanning, photocopying and filing;
  • To assist with answering incoming calls/enquiries.

Experience as a Legal Secretary is essential and a Legal Secretary qualification is desired.
