This is a dynamic, public‐facing role focused on reducing fire risk and supporting the most vulnerable members of our communities. In a role where no two days are the same, you will often work independently, visiting people in their homes and using your professional judgement to assess risk and determine the most appropriate actions.
- Deliver Home Fire Safety Visits and other prevention activities
- Work within a range of environments, including private homes, sheltered accommodation and supported living
- Identify fire risks and provide clear, practical advice to reduce those risks
- Install safety equipment such as smoke alarms
- Recognise safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities and partner agencies
- Support youth inclusion and early intervention programmes
- Maintain accurate records
- Manage your own workload, respond to changing priorities and feel confident making decisions in the moment
- Work with vulnerable individuals and/or in complex circumstances, requiring a calm, adaptable and professional approach
