Are you looking to work for one of the top 3 Students' Unions in the UK? Are you someone who is passionate about digital media, who thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment?
The Role:
As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our social media network and website. You will have full creative control of creating content, including generating video-based material, that is engaging to our members. Working alongside the rest of the Communications and Marketing team, you will help plan and deliver impactful campaigns.
Using a data-driven and audience-centric approach, you will use analytics to tailor our communications and help engage our audiences in creative ways, all whilst growing and supporting our brand and overall strategy.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant general education/qualification to a high standard
Knowledge
- A working knowledge and empathy of the work of students' unions
- Basic understanding of content management systems
- Awareness of current issues surrounding students
- A strong knowledge of social media
- A rounded knowledge of youth culture and current trends
- Basic understanding of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience
- Experience of working in a range of environments
- Experience of supporting student-focused events and activities
- Experience of working in and supporting a team
- Experience in content creation, including planning, editing and recording video-based content
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good administrative skills
- Able to work effectively in a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Diplomacy and tact
- Comprehensive IT skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
