Responsibilities
- Lead a responsive, commercially focused Employee Relations service, providing expert advice, case management and support in line with policy and employment legislation, including tribunal-ready documentation.
- Partner with divisional leadership to deliver People & Culture solutions that maximise performance, support workforce planning and strengthen business outcomes.
- Support the UK People & Culture Director in implementing the Global People & Culture Strategy, embedding the UK operating model and role-modelling strong leadership.
- Manage and deliver organisational change programmes, including restructures, transformations, acquisitions and cost-base initiatives.
- Lead the People & Culture agenda within assigned divisions, using data, analytics and evidence-based practice to drive insight, improvement and data integrity.
- Lead delivery of the divisional People Plan, translating business priorities into practical People & Culture actions.
- Provide hands-on ER leadership, advising managers on casework, performance issues, disciplinaries, grievances and fair application of policy.
- Support and embed People & Culture transformation initiatives, including MyTradebe, working closely with People Services and central teams.
- Drive workforce planning, talent and succession, addressing current and future capability gaps with leaders and TA.
- Coach and challenge senior managers to improve people leadership capability and manage risk.
- Ensure consistent application of performance, reward and bonus processes, including firm management of underperformance.
- Embed health & safety, governance and compliance across all People & Culture activity within the division.
Qualifications
- Proven People & Culture/ HR Business Partner experience, delivering measurable improvements in people management and business performance.
- Strong Employee Relations expertise, including performance management, complex casework and solid employment law knowledge.
- Ability to coach, influence and challenge senior leaders, driving capability, accountability and performance.
- Broad generalist experience across talent, organisation design, reward, change and engagement.
- Commercially astute, with strong analytical skills and confidence using people data, systems and insights.
- Resilient, credible and adaptable, able to operate under pressure, manage ambiguity and influence at senior levels.
