As of the start of 2026, Standard Music Library was branded as Bucks Production Music, incorporating further represented labels; FOLD, Picture Box Music, Musica Britannica, Cinetiks, All Music Gallery, wünderland, and The Composerworks. Bucks Production Music is a small team and there is real opportunity to significantly input and contribute to the development of this area of the business. Staff are expected to take on any reasonable tasks, and to support each other during busy periods. This job description gives an outline of the current requirements, and is likely to evolve over time.
Main Purpose of the role: Actively promoting and marketing the Bucks Production Music catalogues/labels and building and maintaining client relations in the UK & Ireland. Responding to client briefs and music search requests. Responsibility for day-to-day website management and active social media presence. Role to be primarily based in the office with working from home flexibility with expectation to be actively out visiting and meeting clients.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Client Relations – actively researching, contacting and meeting focused clients (existing and new) across the UK and Ireland, including; researching, contacting and meeting focused new clients; minimum of 10 in person client meetings a month; minimum of 4 regional visits per annum; ad hoc client events.
- Maintaining a client database; promoting new releases and devising marketing content and materials.
- Delivery of active online and social media with structured weekly programme (marketing emails, social media updates etc).
- Curating playlists and general day to day website back office management ensuring at least weekly refreshes to the site (ie new banners, playlists).
- Timely response to clients on music searches/briefs.
- Feedback to Production Music Manager on market trends and client needs to assist on creative direction of the Standard Music Library and planning of new albums.
- Coordinating and working with the Commercial Catalogue Synch team on leads, sharing of opportunities, events, merchandise etc.
- Monthly internal report on meetings, marketing and sales activity and catalogue usage.
- Ad hoc other responsibilities to support and promote to the Bucks Production Music, for example, handling of Award entries.
- Supporting of sub-publishers to encourage and facilitate their activity with the catalogue.
- Managing Standard Music Library profile on streaming services.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in music publishing, production music, sync licensing, music supervision, media sales or a related music industry role (television, film, advertising).
- Good understanding of the music licensing process across television, film, advertising, digital media, radio, corporate and branded content.
- Knowledge of music rights, copyright, publishing, master rights and licensing structures.
- Ability to interpret client briefs and confidently recommend appropriate music solutions.
- Proven experience in account management, client services or sales.
- Ability to identify, engage and develop relationships with new and existing clients.
- Confidence conducting face-to-face meetings, presentations and networking events.
Industry Network:
- Existing contacts within television production companies, broadcasters, advertising agencies, brands, content creators, media agencies, film production companies or music supervision communities would be advantageous.
- Understanding of the UK and Irish media landscape and key decision-makers involved in music selection and licensing.
Music Knowledge & Creative Skills:
- Genuine passion for music and broad knowledge of genres, styles, eras, moods and instrumentation.
- Ability to curate playlists and music recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Ability to provide informed feedback to production and creative teams regarding market demand and catalogue development opportunities.
Marketing & Communications:
- Experience creating marketing campaigns, presentations, promotional materials and client communications.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to communicate creatively and commercially.
- Experience managing social media channels, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms, CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
