We are a growing business delivering sustainable, high-quality classroom projects with a strong focus on craftsmanship, communication, and client experience.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to bring in an experienced construction professional on an initial 3-month contract, with the opportunity for the role to develop into a permanent position for the right person.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects on site and become the key link between:
- Clients and schools
- Subcontractors and suppliers
- The BGR leadership team
This role would suit:

You will help manage classroom construction projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring programmes, quality, communication, and site coordination run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day project delivery on classroom builds
- Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and schools
- Managing site programmes and sequencing of trades
- Monitoring quality and health & safety standards
- Organising materials, deliveries, and logistics
- Attending site meetings and reporting progress
- Resolving site issues quickly and professionally
- Supporting smooth project handovers
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Previous experience in construction project coordination or site management
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme timelines
- Organised and solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience working on education projects
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- First Aid certification
- Timber frame or modular construction experience
- Ability to read drawings and construction programmes
Working Arrangement:
- Initial 3-month contract
- Self-employed / freelance basis
- Day rate negotiable depending on experience
