Bucks County Electric Works is one of the largest and most established residential electrical contractors in Southeastern PA. We specialize in wiring new homes for the nation\’s largest home builders, and we are currently completing projects throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Our Warminster, PA warehouse is currently looking for a Delivery Driver to work out of our 15,000 sq. ft. facility.
For us, having an organized and predictable system for wiring new homes is a competitive advantage. The Delivery Driver role plays an integral role in this system by helping to ensure our field staff have the material and equipment they need to do their jobs as efficiently as possible.
As Delivery Driver you will:
- load a cargo van or 16\’ box truck with material packages at our warehouse using a forklift or pallet jack
- deliver material packages to jobsites using a company provided van or box truck
- mark material packages as \’delivered\’ on our portal using a company supplied tablet
- unload material returned to our warehouse from the delivery truck
This is a full-time role with standard work hours Monday through Friday.
We\’re looking for a candidate with relevant warehouse experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.
You must be:
- Tech-savvy, meaning that you are comfortable using modern office productivity tools. In an average day you\’ll work with various applications on our web portal.
- Mechanically oriented. While no construction experience is required for this role, it will be necessary to develop a working knowledge of the different types of material used in residential electrical construction.
- Able to present a current Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Medical Examiner\’s Certificate (MEC), Form MCSA-5876 and have the ability to pass a US Department of Transportation physical examination
You should have:
- Worked in a warehouse environment handling material deliveries
- Operated cargo vans, small box trucks, or similar vehicles
- Documented experience as a delivery driver or similar role
Bonus points if you qualify for one or more of the following:
- Possess construction industry experience, particularly electrical construction
- Graduated from a trade school or technical apprenticeship program
