We are looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to join our growing team within an international aerospace metallic materials supply environment. In this role, you will manage customer enquiries, source materials from a global supplier network, and drive new business opportunities. You will play a key part in delivering exceptional service to both UK and export customers, while ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and AS/EN9120 aerospace standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, technical sales environment and is passionate about delivering results. We would consider experienced candidates or those looking to transfer industries who are keen to learn this exciting industry. We would also consider applications from candidates with transferable skills in quality or import/export. Salary is dependent on experience, plus bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries by sourcing materials and preparing accurate quotations
- Proactively generate new enquiries and business opportunities
- Build and manage strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Monitor order progress and keep stakeholders informed
- Recommend alternative materials and solutions where appropriate
- Collaborate with internal teams (office and warehouse) to ensure smooth operations
- Attend trade shows and customer visits when required
- Contribute to business development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS/EN9120 standards
About You
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar technical sales role
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials and industry suppliers
- Proven track record of account management and business growth
- Demonstrated ability to generate new enquiries and win business
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multi-currency transactions and metric/imperial units
Qualifications
- GCSEs in Maths and English (degree or sales qualification preferred)
- Highly computer literate
- Full UK driving licence
