Are you an exceptional PA who thrives in a fast-paced, high-profile environment?
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant to the School Principal to provide first-class executive support within a busy educational setting on a permanent, full time basis.
This is far more than a traditional PA role. You'll be a trusted right hand to the Principal, managing a demanding workload, coordinating key school events, liaising with senior stakeholders and helping ensure the smooth running of the Principal's office.
The successful candidate will be confident working at senior level, handling sensitive information with discretion and operating within a highly regulated environment.
School experience is welcome but not essential. We are equally interested in candidates from corporate, legal, healthcare, public sector or other professional environments where high-level executive support and compliance are key.
This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of Β£42,000 plus pension and free meals during term time. Hours could be 8 - 4.30 or 8.30 - 5.
Duties include
- Manage a complex and ever-changing diary, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Principal's office, confidently liaising with Governors, staff, parents and external stakeholders.
- Draft correspondence, reports, presentations and briefing papers to a high professional standard.
- Organise and support key school events including Open Days, Parent Evenings, Speech Days and fundraising activities.
- Attend meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes and action logs.
- Screen calls, emails and correspondence, resolving routine matters where appropriate.
- Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Coordinate insurance administration, claims and staff driving documentation checks.
- Support crisis management and business continuity processes.
- Assist with Health & Safety administration and workplace assessment coordination.
- Work closely with the Executive PA and provide support to the wider leadership team when required.
Skills/Experience
- Significant experience supporting senior executives, directors, principals or other leadership figures.
- Exceptional organisational and diary management skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple demands in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written communication and document production skills.
- Experience working within a compliance-driven or regulated setting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence dealing with senior individuals.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise.
- Absolute discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Please note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills. If we do not have anything suitable, we will not keep your CV for more than 30 days.
