Our client, a large private estate near Marlow, is looking for a skilled Gardener to join their team. The successful individual will be adept at both hands-on tasks and also managing external contractors alongside the Senior Gardener to maintain and enhance the estate. This is a permanent full time role, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. The salary is £30k - £40k depending on skills and experience.
- Maintain and nurture the produce garden and orchard, ensuring healthy growth of vegetables and fruits.
- Maintain and nurture the cutting garden ensuring healthy growth of all flowers and vegetation.
- Maintain lawns and gardens using mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Share responsibility for the upkeep of all Estate landscape areas including mature woodlands, lawns, fields, pond, and a developing wildflower meadow.
- Perform seasonal garden tasks such as pruning, trimming, and leaf clean-up.
- Maintain paths, driveways, and other hard landscaping to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
Proven groundskeeping experience, ideally in a large estate or public park. Farming skills, good understanding for the landscapes/ecology. Strong horticultural and landscape maintenance knowledge. Proficiency in operating landscaping machinery and hand tools. Horticulture or landscape management qualifications are advantageous. Excellent communication skills and task management for effective teamwork and contractor liaison. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Offer dependent upon receipt of a clean Enhanced DBS Check (to be organised by employer).
