We are seeking a creative, organised, and enthusiastic Social Media, Media & Website Assistant to support our client’s digital communications and online presence on a part time, temporary basis, working 10 hours per week spread over two mornings.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for social media, content creation, photography, digital marketing, and website management.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support events and activities.

  • Social Media
  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Manage and monitor social media channels, responding to messages and comments where appropriate.
  • Increase audience engagement through creative campaigns and consistent posting.
  • Analyse social media performance and prepare monthly reports with recommendations.
  • Keep up to date with emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Media & Content Creation
  • Capture photographs and short videos at events, activities, and promotional opportunities.
  • Create graphics, videos, and marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
  • Write engaging copy for social media, newsletters, blogs, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain and organise a library of digital media assets.
  • Website Management
  • Update website content, images, news articles, and event information.
  • Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor website performance and report technical issues as required.
  • Support basic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) activities to improve online visibility.
  • General Duties
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and communications.
  • Support promotional campaigns, events, and special projects.
  • Ensure all digital communications align with the organisation’s brand identity and values.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok, and X.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging visual content using Canva or similar design software.
  • Experience updating websites using Word Press or another content management system (CMS).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Photography and video editing skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
