This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our client, an independent school with a small and dedicated finance team. This key position is responsible for managing and developing the school's financial systems and processes, and for supporting and deputising for the Director of Finance on all financial matters. The successful candidate will hold a professional qualification in finance or accounting and play a central role in preparing budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
£55k per annum plus excellent benefits
Full-time - 9am to 5pm (office-based) 52 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-day overall responsibility for the finance department, ensuring adequate processes and controls are in place.
- Preparing and reporting budgets and forecasts.
- Management of company accounts including payroll and pension administration.
- Credit control including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- End of year auditing.
- Producing termly reports for the Governors.
- Hold a professional qualification in finance or accounting.
- Knowledge of Sage.
- Be financially, technically and IT literate.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to present these in a concise format.
- Have proven experience in effective financial management.
