An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Designer to join a leading specialist interiors team.
This role offers an excellent platform for a graduate or early-career designer to develop their skills within a highly experienced design department, working on high-profile commercial fit-out and interior construction projects.
Working alongside senior designers, you will gain hands‑on experience in the design and delivery of specialist interior systems, contributing to projects from initial concept through to fabrication and installation.
You will receive support and mentoring from experienced professionals while developing valuable technical design expertise within a growing and forward-thinking business.
This role is office based in High Wycombe with occasional travel to sites across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare schematic, general arrangement and working drawings, primarily using CAD software.
- Produce drawing schedules and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Prepare requests for information (RFIs) and technical queries, monitoring responses as required.
- Conduct site visits, surveys and attend design coordination meetings.
- Attend project handover meetings and assist in developing project design briefs.
- Produce fabrication information including schedules, cutting lists and component drawings.
- Review, revise and reissue drawings following design feedback.
- Check fabrication information and technical drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all project documentation meets required standards and specifications.
- Provide technical and design support to internal departments and project teams.
- Consider health and safety requirements throughout the design and construction process.
Skills/Experience
- A degree in Design, Interior Design, Interior Spatial Design or a related discipline.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Auto CAD.
- Experience using Revit.
- An interest in technical design, construction detailing and interior environments.
