We are currently recruiting for a Group Management Accountant - Tax and Payroll to join a well-established global organisation on a remote basis. The role will be 100% remote, full-time hours Monday to Friday. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant with strong expertise in payroll accounting and tax compliance. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining financial records related to employee compensation, and managing all tax-related obligations in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Accounting
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts (wages, deductions, benefits, accruals)
  • Review and validate payroll reports, journals, and postings
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment of bonuses, commissions, pensions, and benefits
  • Liaise with HR and payroll providers to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain payroll controls and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Tax Accounting Compliance
    • Prepare and file statutory tax returns (e.g., PAYE, National Insurance, VAT, corporation tax support)
    • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations
    • Manage payroll-related taxes, including employee deductions and employer contributions
    • Assist in tax audits
