We are recruiting for a Legal Office Assistant to join our Stamford office. This role will suit someone with previous experience in a legal or professional services environment who takes pride in delivering high-quality client service and reliable administrative support. This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

This role is a valued part of our operational support structure and offers the opportunity to build a long-term career within a professional legal environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys the organisational and client-facing aspects of legal services and is committed to developing their expertise within a collaborative and high-performing team.

Based in our Stamford office, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations. You will support solicitors, clients, and colleagues by delivering accurate document management, professional client care, facilities coordination, and a range of administrative tasks in line with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage documents and post in line with company procedures, including scanning, filing, and archiving.
  • Provide administrative support, preparing correspondence and updating client records.
  • Deliver excellent client service, welcoming visitors and maintaining reception and meeting areas.
  • Support office operations and facilities, including supplies, couriers, and visitor management.
  • Assist with health & safety duties, including inductions and emergency procedures.

  • Proven experience as a legal administrator or office assistant, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • A calm, professional manner and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including document formatting and document management systems.
  • Someone who values being part of the operational backbone of a successful legal practice and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of support.
