Private Client Solicitor role
We are excited to be recruiting a Private Client Solicitor /Associate to join a very well-established team in either Peterborough or Nottingham. The successful Private Client Solicitor/Associate will have demonstrable experience of advising mass affluent clients with Inheritance Tax planning/Estate planning and Estate administration work. Ideally you will be a minimum of 3-5 years PQE. Please note some travel and out of hours working will be required for business development, meetings, and training purposes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing and innovative sub-team within our Private Client department as we grow due to further success as a team and company.
Responsibilities
- Integral part of the Private Client team, focusing on delivering a high-quality service to specific clients in accordance with agreed processes and supporting the overall development of the team.
- Reporting to Line Manager and Partners in the department to assist with general caseload to include IHT planning, Wills and LPAs, some Estate Administration and Lifetime Trusts.
- Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and building appropriate relationships with clients.
- Working to agreed and stringent deadlines.
- Adherence to agreed quality procedures and management systems.
- Undertake and deliver work in a commercially effective manner.
- Development of technical and non-technical skills to meet client and firm requirements and demonstrate continuous improvement in all areas of work.
- Delivery of individual targets with minimal supervision.
- Proactively attracting work according to the needs of the firm.
Skills and experience required
- Relevant Professional Qualification
- Strong legal skills and knowledge in a Private Client setting.
- Responsible for a broad and varied caseload including IHT planning, Wills and LPAs, some Estate Administration and Lifetime Trusts.
- Ability to adhere to and work to meet tight deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of all private matters, with excellent communication skills.
- You will be proactive and passionate about your career.
- Proven results in supporting business development across a team or firm.
- Working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to pay close attention to detailed instructions.
- A strong team player with a motivational hands-on approach.
- Uses initiative, plans and organises own time and workload to meet deadlines and prioritises work.
- A measured and rational approach to problem-solving.
- Deals confidently and diplomatically with clients and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrates integrity and congruence when dealing with people.
- Ability to adhere to and work to meet tight deadlines.
