Location: One of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor is set in ten acres of stunning grounds. With 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes, and a member of Relais & Châteaux, Buckland Manor offers employees the opportunity to work within a traditional, yet friendly English country house hotel.

SERVICE CHARGE: We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel - every penny received is paid out to the team. Service charge can be in the region of £305 a month (around £3,600 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.

The hotel may be able to offer on-site staff accommodation in order to help the newest members of the team settle into life at the hotel and local area, plus free parking is available on-site.

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be working with the Head Chef & Sous Chef to run a busy kitchen. You will be creating exciting and delicious dishes to be served to our guests. This role would suit someone who has worked in a similar environment previously.

  • You’ll be working with fresh food, turning it into delicious dishes for our guests.
  • As a skilled chef, you’ll get to really put those knife skills to the test, cooking with the finest of ingredients.
  • You’ll need to keep up to date with the latest allergen training.
  • Everyone in the kitchen is responsible for keeping it clean.
  • Labelling your food is important.
  • As an experienced chef, we encourage you to share your knowledge with new, budding KP’s and Commis coming into the industry.
  • As a senior member of the kitchen team, you’ll be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
