Overview

Inglefield Nursing and Residential Home in the Isle of Wight is looking for a Kitchen Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team and manage the cooks and kitchen assistants to create balanced and nutritious meals for residents.
  • Work to create inspiring mealtimes for residents, catering to all preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Oversee food allocation systems and work to minimise wastage in the kitchen.
  • Interact and communicate with residents as there is substantial contact with them.

About You / Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in hospitality/catering is required
  • Level 2 Food & Hygiene is required
  • Level 3 Food Preparation & Service
  • Passionate about food, local produce and fresh ingredients
  • Good level of English
  • A good team player
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Prioritising resident and relative needs and offering personalised menus when required
  • Honest and kind person who can work under pressure
  • Previous experience in a care home or similar is beneficial
