Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science, Full‑time – High Wycombe

Salary: £44,746 – £56,535 (pro‑rated if part time)

This role is within the College of Health & Society. The Senior Lecturer will contribute to teaching on our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science course and other relevant programmes. The position requires work at both High Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses.

Job Description

• Deliver a first‑class student experience and undertake impactful research and knowledge exchange activities.
• Lead and undertake curriculum development, professional practice, enterprise activity, research and other forms of scholarly activity.

Person Specification

• Education, Qualifications & Training
  • First degree in a relevant field.
  • Doctoral level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • HCPC paramedic registration.
  • Recognised HE teaching qualification and/or Fellow by Advance HE or evidence of achieving within two years.
• Knowledge & Experience
  • Expert knowledge and research in the discipline; significant contribution to professional or regulatory body.
  • Track record of delivering quality learning and teaching achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Active researcher with high‑quality outputs.
  • Contribution to research communities.
  • Track record in delivering excellent student/customer experience.
  • Active contribution to subject associations or professional bodies.
  • Experience generating income or securing external project funding.
  • Experience of doctoral supervision, personal tutoring, mentoring or supporting CPD.

  • Excellent presentation and teaching delivery skills.
  • Digital ability and proficiency in Microsoft tools.

  • Willingness and ability to work off‑site locations and across all University campuses.
  • Willingness to contribute to University Open Days (which may fall on Saturdays).
• Candidate will need to deliver a micro‑teach as part of the interview.
