An opportunity has now arisen for a skilled, experienced and motivated individual to join Buckinghamshire New University as a Registry Administrator to work as part of the Student & Course Administration team, providing excellent administrative support for the University’s student and academic administration processes. You must be organised, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise workloads, and operate under pressure in a fast-moving and changing environment.

Job Purpose: Provide administrative support for the University’s student and academic administration processes relating to the student experience and programme delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organise tasks and meetings to provide consistent administrative support for processes designed to deliver programmes and for student engagement with teaching and assessment in accordance with planned schedules and deadlines.
- Support students undertaking specified programmes and monitor their progress.
- Support academic administrative processes related to attendance and engagement, assessment and results.
- Input student-related and assessment data accurately into the Student Record System (Qlv4) in accordance with University procedures and regulations.
- Process amendments to student records.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of data held on the Student Record System, including regular checking of data in liaison with Registry Officers/Senior Registry Officers.
- Provide professional and consistent service to students, academics, internal and external stakeholders, and provide guidance and training on processes, procedures and systems.
- Maintain effective communication with the student body through a variety of channels, responding to routine and non-routine requests for information and using various data sources, demonstrating a high standard of customer service.
- Develop thorough understanding of rules and regulations related to student administration, curriculum structures and assessments.
- Assist in the provision of data as required, using established systems to create documents and reports.
- Assist with student-related events as required.
- Assist with the Board of Examiners as required.
- Support wider activities of the Academic Registry and University, including attending relevant meetings, taking notes, contributing to Registry-wide events (graduation ceremonies, enrolment/registration), engaging with internal working groups, implementing agreed process changes within the University.
- Adopt and demonstrate behaviours aligned to the University's values.
- Perform duties across different sites within the University as required.
- Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR, Health and Safety, UKVI, Equality and Diversity) in all working practices.

Person Specification (Qualifications & Experience)
- Education, Qualifications & Training: Qualified at ‘A’ level or equivalent with Maths and English at GCSE.
- Knowledge & Experience: Delivering an excellent customer experience; good general administrative experience; experience working with computer database systems; problem solving; teamworking; awareness of data protection, freedom of information and consumer rights legislation.
- Skills: Digitally able and proficient in Microsoft tools; ability to work flexibly under own initiative and tight deadlines; good interpersonal and communication skills; good organisational skills; methodical and accurate approach with meticulous attention to detail.
- Special Requirements: Willingness to work flexible hours during peak work times (e.g., summer Board period); willingness to work at any of the University’s campuses.
