The College of Health and Society seeks to appoint a Placement Officer. The post holder primarily supports students and academic colleagues on Allied Health programmes where placements are a significant part of the learning journey. The role is responsible for ensuring students are allocated to suitable placements that meet their needs and those of the programme they are studying.
Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent working relationships with placement providers, using problem‑solving and customer‑service skills to ensure an excellent placement experience for students and partners.
- Manage placements using placement management software such as InPlace, with attention to detail to meet the exacting requirements of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) regarding placement hours and requirements.
- Work well within a team while taking initiative, making decisions and solving problems independently.
Qualifications
- Experience with placement management software such as InPlace, or confidence in developing such skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to work well with others and to take initiative and solve problems independently.
