Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Ophthalmology Department are currently seeking candidates for substantive Paediatric Ophthalmology Consultant post. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Paediatric Ophthalmology service alongside another Paediatric Consultant. BHT has worked hard to create a modern Paediatric Ophthalmology service with AHP led clinics and a hub and spoke model allowing patients to be seen routinely at 4 sites with appointments at the hub carefully controlled.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a full complement of Paediatric Ophthalmology aspects of the units’ work. This will include ROP screening on the SCBU. The successful candidate will also provide, along with the other Consultants in the Unit, a general Ophthalmology service, the exact nature of which will depend on the skills of the successful candidate. One session per week will be dedicated to paediatric eye emergency work.
Please note the start date for this post would be after the 31st August 2026. Planned AAC Interview Date is Monday 2 March 2026.
