Chalfont St Giles Village School located in the heart of the Chilterns, is a Hard Federation between Chalfont St Giles Infant School & Nursery and Chalfont St Giles Junior School, which was formed in 2011. We are seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our nursery team. Our nursery is open during term time, with 30 spaces available. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the nursery teacher, taking on the role of key worker for specified children, supporting with classroom tasks such as setting up, snacks, small group interventions and observing and interacting with children throughout the day.

About you

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:

  • Has experience of working in a nursery setting
  • Is qualified to at least a Level 2 Early Years qualification or equivalent (essential)
  • Is qualified to level 3 or higher in Early Years (desirable)
  • Is caring and friendly with a commitment to teamwork.
  • Is flexible and adaptable to a range of tasks within the nursery setting
  • Is passionate about supporting teaching and learning.
  • Is reflective, open to feedback and driven to be an excellent support assistant.
  • Is motivated and enthusiastic
  • Is well organised and efficient, with a good attention to detail.
  • Is a good communicator with a sense of humour and a smile!
