As an MIS Support Officer, you will be an integral part of our ICT Schools Team, providing specialist support and training to school business managers, senior leaders, teachers, and administration staff. Your expertise will cover a range of software modules, including Arbor, SIMS, and Bromcom, including Core Modules, Personnel, Attendance, Reporting, Assessment, and Behaviour modules.

About the role
As an MIS Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to school users and ensuring best practices and statutory requirements from the Department for Education are met. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing timely services to customers, including telephone and remote support.
- Managing all areas related to the suite of software used in Schools MIS, specifically Arbor, Bromcom, and SIMS.
- Delivering training courses on various Management Information Systems (MIS) software for school staff.
- Collaborating effectively within the team and with other services to deliver best practices.
- Maintaining awareness of educational developments, including government and Local Authority initiatives.
- Applying practical and theoretical understanding to solve problems.
About you
We are seeking a proactive individual with a background in Schools MIS. You should have problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A demonstrable understanding of a school\’s business environment and the roles that Management Information Software play is essential.
Ideally, you will have broad knowledge gained from experience working in a school setting or a support unit environment, conferring a level of authority in this area.
