We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Depot Compliance Officer to join our dynamic Fleet Administration team at Buckinghamshire Council. In this key role, you'll help ensure our depot operations meet the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance, supporting a range of essential services that keep our neighbourhoods running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance and assurance procedures.
- Conducting audits and inspections, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.
- Preparing compliance reports and summaries for management and regulatory bodies.
- Investigating incidents and breaches, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements.
- Supporting Freedom of Information (FOI) and Data Protection requests.
- Liaising with internal departments, external regulators, and service providers.
- Maintaining accurate financial and operational records to support audit readiness.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to the continuous enhancement of compliance systems.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate for the Depot Compliance role. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting audits and ensuring adherence to company policies. They should be highly organised, able to work independently, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is desirable, as the role involves preparing reports, analysing data, and maintaining accurate documentation.
