Are you passionate about supporting young people and adults to make informed career choices and reach their full potential? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Careers Advisor to join our Student Services team at Buckinghamshire College Group. This role plays a vital part in delivering a high‑quality, impartial Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) service across the College. You will lead the planning and delivery of a cross‑college careers programme aligned to all eight Gatsby Benchmarks, supporting learners to progress successfully into further study, training or employment.
Location: Wycombe
Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week, Term Time Only/38 weeks per year)
As a Careers Advisor, you will:
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of the College‑wide careers programme in line with the Careers Strategy and Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Provide professional, impartial careers advice through 1:1 sessions and small‑group guidance to support informed learner decision‑making.
- Work closely with SENCOs to support the transition and progression of students with EHCPs, helping them move onto appropriate programmes of study.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the local and national labour market, sector pathways and progression opportunities.
- Plan, lead and deliver cross‑college careers events, employability initiatives and careers coaching programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of all CEIAG activity using college systems, contributing to monitoring impact and improving student outcomes.
