Great opportunity for a paralegal to join a busy membership organisation of approximately 30 people to provide support across their Legal and Compliance function. You will work closely with the Senior Counsel to manage the day-to-day workload, freeing up time for them to focus on more complex and strategic matters. Your role will focus on administration and processes to ensure matters are accurately recorded and processed.
The role
- Duties will include:
- Legal and contract support – carry out legal research, first line review of legal documents, review external and public-facing communications
- External Counsel and stakeholder coordination – liaise with external counsel and advisors
- Compliance and due diligence administration – information gathering, record keeping, prepare documents, elevate risks
- Governance, policies and records – draft, update and maintain policies, prepare governance papers, maintain legal registers and trackers, support document management
- Investigation/incidents – support with administration for investigations and incidents, track actions and deadlines arising from investigations
The right candidate will have around 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and will hold a GDL, SQE/LPC studies, paralegal qualification or have equivalent relevant experience. The organisation is looking for a candidate who is highly organised, has excellent attention to detail, good judgement and is used to juggling priorities. This is a great opportunity to join a small team and take on a role with a broad and varied remit.
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience plus benefits including enhanced pension, optional private health insurance, discretionary bonus - hybrid working (3-4 days in office)
