We are currently supporting a local authority client in Yorkshire/Humber who is seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified housing professional with strong experience across the full remit of Private Sector Housing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out private sector housing inspections, site visits and enforcement interventions
- Investigating housing complaints and taking appropriate action
- Undertaking HHSRS assessments and housing disrepair investigations
- Supporting HMO licensing and related statutory duties
- Working collaboratively with Council departments, landlords, tenants, members of the public and partner agencies
You will need to hold an HHSRS qualification and have proven experience working within Private Sector Housing in a local authority environment. Our client would ideally welcome someone on a full-time basis, although part-time availability will also be considered. Hybrid working options are available. The assignment will initially be for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
