Buckingham Futures are recruiting for a Private Rented Sector Offer (PRSO) Project Team Lead on behalf of a local authority client in the Midlands.
Location: Midlands (Hybrid working)
Rate: £260 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months initially
This role will focus on leading the delivery of the council’s Private Rented Sector Offer (PRSO) approach, helping to secure PRS properties for households and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation.
Key Duties- Source and procure a strong pipeline of private rented sector properties to discharge housing duties through PRSO
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, letting agents and property partners
- Support the development of the PRSO Lettings Plus team, including processes and training across housing options teams
- Work closely with internal teams such as Housing Benefit and Environmental Health to ensure smooth tenancy management
- Ensure the team matches suitable tenants to properties and supports sustainable tenancies
- Oversee tenancy paperwork, agreements and ensure statutory compliance is met
- Support preventative work with the front-door triage team and contribute to preparations for upcoming Renters Rights changes
- Strong experience in lettings, property management or housing procurement
- Good knowledge of the Private Rented Sector and tenancy legislation
- Proven ability to build relationships with landlords and agents
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle to attend meetings across the district
