Buckingham Futures is partnering with a Local Authority in Essex to recruit an Environmental Protection Team Leader. This is a permanent role for a motivated professional who wants to lead a team making a real difference in environmental protection across the borough.
What you will do:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Environmental Protection officers, providing coaching and mentoring
- Oversee operations including noise, air quality, pollution control, and statutory nuisance enforcement
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and Local Authority policies
- Advise senior management and elected members on environmental matters
- Work with other teams, such as waste, housing, and planning, and with external organisations
- Contribute to service planning, budgeting, and reporting
