Buckingham Futures is currently seeking a competent Environmental Health Officer or Food Safety Officer to support the delivery of Official Controls across food businesses within a local authority district in Yorkshire and the Humber. This is a flexible, rolling contract, ideal for professionals who can manage their own workload and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct food hygiene inspections across a range of premises, including:
- New/unrated food business registrations
- All risk categories of food premises
Pay
Up to £50 per hour (Umbrella), offering flexibility and fair remuneration based on time worked.
Requirements
- EHRB Registration or Higher Certificate in Food Control (or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering food hygiene inspections within local authorities
- Ability to work independently and in line with regulatory standards
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
- Confidence inspecting a variety of food premises across all risk categories
Compliance / Evidence Required
- Proof of competency
- Minimum 10 hours of food-related CPD
- Valid driving licence
