Buckingham Futures is currently recruiting Environmental Health Officers / Higher Certificate Technical Officers to carry out Food Premises Inspections across South London. This project involves inspecting premises rated A–E under the FSA Food Law Code of Practice, with the first phase running until the end of March 2025.
Officers will be responsible for:
- Carrying out food hygiene inspections in line with the Food Law Code of Practice
- Risk rating food businesses following inspection
- Determining Food Hygiene Ratings for eligible businesses
- Ensuring food business registrations are up to date—completing or providing registration forms when needed
Who We’re Looking For: To be considered, you must hold one of the baseline qualifications and have the relevant registration, including:
- Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent qualification
- EHORB/EHRB Certificate of Registration (or equivalent)
- At least 10 hours of Food Core CPD in line with the Food Law Code of Practice
- Demonstrated competency in Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4)
