Our client in Essex is currently recruiting for a HMO Officer to join a high-performing team on a 3 month contract, with the potential of renewable, Full Time or Part Time, Hybrid role. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to take on a varied caseload within private sector housing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate tenant complaints and carry out property inspections
  • Assess housing conditions using HHSRS and Decent Homes Standard
  • Prepare and serve enforcement notices
  • Manage disrepair cases and schedules of condition
  • Support HMO licensing, inspections and compliance activity
  • Identify empty properties and support return to use
  • Work with partner agencies on housing improvement initiatives
