Salary: £60,000 - £70,000+ DOE
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site inspections across residential and commercial developments.
- Assessing plans and specifications for compliance with Building Regulations.
- Inspecting and approving foundations, excavations, drainage installations, reinforced concrete works, and structural groundworks.
- Providing technical guidance to developers, architects, contractors, and homeowners.
- Producing inspection reports and supporting projects through to completion certification.
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, legislation, and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working within Building Control, either with a Local Authority or Registered Building Control Approver.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Proven experience inspecting foundations, drainage, groundworks, and structural elements.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable qualifications include:
- CABE, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Registered Building Inspector status (Class 2A or above).
- Experience across both residential and commercial projects.
