Overview
Buckingham Futures is recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer / Higher Certificate Officer to cover long-term sick leave for our local authority client in Surrey.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and undertake 120–150 inspections over 3 months.
- Inspect low to high risk premises, providing inspection reports that include legal responsibilities, best practice advice, and Food Hygiene Rating Scheme ratings.
- Complete and return paperwork to be inputted onto the database within 48 hours of inspections.
- Undertake revisits as requested and escalate serious issues to the Lead Officer for Food and Safety.
Qualifications
- Completed either the Higher Certificate in Food Control (HCFC) or Advanced Professional Certificate in Food Hygiene and Standards Control (APC-Food).
Additional Information
- Multiple officers may be considered, but a minimum commitment of 40 inspections is required.
- This is a temporary assignment, offering excellent experience and exposure in food safety inspections.
