Buckingham Futures are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Essex for a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and forward thinking team.

Location: Essex

Rate: £500/day

Contract: 12-month Contract – (4 days a week on site)

Role Overview

You will be supporting the Housing Operations team through thePre-Contract ,Construction , andProject Close Phases .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost estimation, procurement strategy, and contract preparation
  • Full lifecycle project management and reporting
  • Financial oversight and dispute avoidance
  • Chairing meetings and liaising with stakeholders
  • Final account settlement and documentation at project close

Essential Requirements

For Managing Quantity Surveyor:

  • Chartered with RICS (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in JCT Contracts and Contract Administration
  • Experience managing teams and financial reporting

For Quantity Surveyor:

  • Relevant qualification in the field
  • RICS chartership preferred
  • Experience in QS / Contract Administrator / Employer’s Agent roles
  • Solid knowledge of JCT contracts
