Buckingham Futures are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Essex for a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and forward thinking team.
Location: Essex
Rate: £500/day
Contract: 12-month Contract – (4 days a week on site)
Role Overview
You will be supporting the Housing Operations team through thePre-Contract ,Construction , andProject Close Phases .
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost estimation, procurement strategy, and contract preparation
- Full lifecycle project management and reporting
- Financial oversight and dispute avoidance
- Chairing meetings and liaising with stakeholders
- Final account settlement and documentation at project close
Essential Requirements
For Managing Quantity Surveyor:
- Chartered with RICS (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in JCT Contracts and Contract Administration
- Experience managing teams and financial reporting
For Quantity Surveyor:
- Relevant qualification in the field
- RICS chartership preferred
- Experience in QS / Contract Administrator / Employer’s Agent roles
- Solid knowledge of JCT contracts
