Buckingham Futuresare currently recruiting for aDisabled Facilities Grants/ Private Sector Housing Officerto join a local authority in the South West of England.

Role Overview:

  • Lead delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants (a comprehensive and current knowledge of the process is essential).
  • Investigate and manage housing condition complaints in the private sector.
  • Conduct Housing Health and Safety Rating System assessments and carry out enforcement where necessary.
  • Work closely with contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-quality housing services.
  • Contribute to wider private sector housing responsibilities as required.

Working Pattern:

  • Hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a Private Sector Housing Officer role within a local authority.
  • Up-to-date practical knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Experience in housing health and safety assessments.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
