We are seeking to recruit a Maths teacher, to join Buckinghamshire College Group. You will primarily be based at our Aylesbury campus; however you will be expected to travel across all of our campuses teaching 1-1 SEND students as well of some group teaching off site. You should be experienced in teaching innovative GCSE maths and Functional level 1 lessons.

Working within our dedicated Maths department you will be promoting high levels of student ambition leading to positive progression and excellent employer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Have the ability to plan and prepare innovative schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules which motivate students to achieve.
  • Plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, whilst also ensuring students are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential.
  • Create innovative and positive learning experiences
  • Support a growth mindset in learners
  • Address the English and Mathematics needs of students and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning, both within and outside of the classroom

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation\’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn \’on the job\’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
