*Job Summary*
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MOT Tester/Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle safety inspections, performing MOT tests in accordance with legal standards, and ensuring vehicles meet all safety and environmental requirements. *Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with current legal and safety standards
* Perform routine vehicle inspections, identifying mechanical issues and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance
* Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs, adjustments, and replacements efficiently
* Assist with vehicle diagnostics to troubleshoot mechanical problems accurately
* Maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, repairs, and service activities
* Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all testing and repair procedures
* Support the team by handling heavy lifting tasks safely when moving or installing vehicle components
*Requirements*
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair processes
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various automotive tasks
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily responsibilities
* Previous experience working as an MOT Tester or Technician is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate testing and reporting
* Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and explain technical issues clearly
* Valid certification or qualification as an MOT Tester/Technician is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable applicants
