Salaried GP
2-4 Session Salaried GP position – 6 months Fixed Term Contract.
Buckfastleigh Medical Centre seeks a salaried GP to join our team, working full days on Thursdays and Fridays (4 sessions).
We are looking for a 6-month fixed-term contract – with a view to extend this should this be mutually beneficial.
We are a friendly team looking after 5,100 patients in a semi‑rural area, with excellent access to the surgery via the A38 from Exeter and Plymouth. We have a strong education ethos and are closely linked with Plymouth University.
We run both a daily Duty list with routine appointments offered alongside these.
We are part of a cohesive, forward‑thinking Primary Care Network. There is ample opportunity for developing interests within the practice and the wider Primary Care Network.
We are able to offer:
- Competitive salary negotiable based upon skills and experience.
- 6 weeks annual leave
- BMA Model Contract
- 1-week study time
- Excellent work‑life balance
- Excellent supportive team
- Pooled workload rather than named GP workload
- Wonderful surrounding countryside and good access to larger cities and towns. With beaches one way, the beautiful South Hams on our doorstep and Dartmoor the other way, we really do have it all.
Working with our team, you’d hold a strong voice and would be involved within many aspects of the surgery. We would be keen for the candidate to support our workforce of the future by supporting medical students and foundation doctors where appropriate, bringing something extra to the working day. We support an “open door” policy for all staff to provide support for every member of the team.
Starting date: ASAP
