Warm and welcoming hospitality is at the heart of what we offer, and we are dedicated to delivering excellence to our visitors and delegates. We are passionate about exceeding expectations and providing the very best experience. We currently have the opportunity for another ‘Hospitality Hero’ to join our flagship Grange restaurant and satellite team. This role will be based at the Grange, leading the team members working in this area and those working satellite ventures, and may also provide team leading cover in our other hospitality venues, which could necessitate a change in working hours. A good level of flexibility is therefore essential.

Responsibilities

  • Have experience of successfully leading teams in large, busy catering establishments
  • Can inspire, encourage and influence others to be their very best
  • Lead by example, are punctual and reliable, have high standards of personal presentation and demonstrate the highest standards of customer care and service
  • Can balance the demands of being a busy, committed team member with leading the team
  • Have a positive, professional, ‘can do’ attitude and permanent smile
  • Have the confidence and robustness to appropriately challenge and correct team members, either in the moment, or via more structured, first-line performance, conduct or absence conversations
  • Can assume responsibility in the absence of the manager, dealing with standard requirements and take lead responsibility for the unexpected (equipment/IT issues, customer incidents, etc.), escalating as necessary
  • Are health, safety, environmental, security and safeguarding aware and focussed, and financially astute
  • Are highly self-motivated, with the ability to see what needs to be done and take ownership of it
  • Have the energy and stamina to be kept moving and busy
  • Have personal virtues that align to our company values

We want to hear from you

  • Experience of working and team leading in large catering establishments is essential, with experience in a similar setting advantageous
  • Food Hygiene qualifications are essential, with First Aid and first-line management qualifications desirable
