Senior Accountant – Main Duties

Preparation and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
Liaising with clients and being their point of contact
Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and dealing with HMRC
Support trainees by providing on‑the‑job training and coaching
Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to the clients and highlight them to the directors
Assist with ad‑hoc projects and assignments

Skills required

Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT, income tax and their impact on the client’s overall affairs
Good analytical skills and a proactive approach
Ability to work to deadlines and manage your (and colleagues’) workflow
Ability to see accounts file through to the director’s review
Ability to deal with client queries, communicate effectively and provide exceptional client service
IT literate – familiarity with Sage, Xero and familiar is preferable
Strong team player essential
Minimum of 3 years practice experience
ACCA / ACAP – Part Qualified / Qualified / Qualified by Experience
