Buckden Partners has been mandated by one of the largest bridging lenders in the UK to support them in the search for a Senior Underwriter/Underwriting Manager. The client is searching for an experienced bridging/mortgages underwriter who is looking for a step into management.
Reporting into the Head of Credit, your responsibilities will cover:
- Management of underwriting team to ensure delivery of business objectives in an efficient manner.
- Ensure all underwriting decisioning is carried out in accordance with the company’s credit risk appetite.
- Examine the commercial viability of each application.
- Oversee the underwriting of all loans up to disbursement.
- Delegate applications for underwriting appropriately and proportionately.
- Responsible for final credit sign-off of each application.
