Our client, a leading international banking institution, is seeking a Project Finance Associate to join its London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile transactions across the renewable energy, infrastructure, and energy transition sectors throughout the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the origination and execution of project finance transactions from initial assessment through to financial close.
  • Conduct due diligence, financial modelling, cashflow analysis, and credit assessments.
  • Prepare and present credit applications to internal stakeholders and credit committees.
  • Review financing, project, and security documentation to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing project finance transactions, including reviews and waiver requests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, sponsors, funds, and other market participants.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and sector developments to identify opportunities and risks.

Sector Exposure:

  • Renewable Energy: Wind, Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), CCUS, and emerging technologies.
  • Infrastructure: Transport, social infrastructure, interconnectors, and green mobility.
  • Digital Infrastructure (advantageous): Fibre networks, telecom towers, and data centres.

Key Requirements:

  • Project finance experience gained within a bank, fund, advisory firm, or corporate sponsor.
  • Strong financial modelling, credit analysis, and due diligence skills.
  • Experience in transaction origination, execution, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
