My client is an established Non-Bank Lender who provides Development Finance and Bridging Loans up to £10m.
We are looking for an experienced (5+ years) real estate credit professional / portfolio manager to join our high performing team. Our new team member will be responsible for transaction execution and portfolio management of UK development finance and bridging loans.
Responsibilities:
- TRANSACTION EXECUTION. Working with lenders on the full deal lifecycle including:
- providing insight and input on the creditworthiness of potential development finance and bridging loans;
- preparing and presenting credit papers to the Credit Committee;
- instructing and managing professionals (valuers, IMS/QS and solicitors);
- preparing and reviewing key legal documents (offer letters, facility agreements, security documents);
- driving transactions to completion (including actively managing comprehensive checklist);
- management of the closing process.
- managing day-to-day loan processes (including drawdowns, sales and build cost ledgers);
- negotiating and arranging repayment and extensions directly with borrowers;
- working on recoveries (if required);
- ensuring that loan records are accurately and comprehensively entered into the firm’s systems.
What you will Bring:
- 5+ years of underwriting or lending experience within development finance (ideally mid-market).
- Development finance and bridging transaction execution;
- Loan covenant monitoring;
- Managing extensions;
- Recoveries.
- Excellent attention to detail.
